Tracy Lane Beisly

Tracy Lane Beisly, 59, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Tracy was born July 4, 1963, in Nevada, to Norman D. and LaDeane A. (Bobbett) Beisly. On Nov. 22, 1985, he married Kelly S. Diggins in Nevada and she survives of the home.

Tracy grew up on the family farm East of Nevada where he farmed and raised cattle all of his life. He attended Nevada High School and graduated with the Class of 1981. An avid outdoorsman, Tracy loved fishing, quail hunting, and playing cards after hunting all day. Each year, he and his family went on a two-week long camping trip to Stockton Lake with a group of close friends. Tracy also enjoyed going to cattle shows, his bowling league, cooking, grilling and smoking meat, and his beloved blue healer, Sam. One of his favorite things was watching his children and grandchildren show animals at the county fair. Tracy was a member of the Southwest Team Penners Association for whom he supplied the cattle for penning. Most importantly, he especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Kelly, he is survived by two children, Kyle Beisly (Erin), Nevada, and Klay Beisly (Janna Scotten), Nevada; five grandchildren, Zoey, Korbin, Emersyn, Kora, and Kooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Travis Beisly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested in his name to Vernon County Cancer Relief in care of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
