Dale Eugene Osborne

Dale Eugene Osborne, age 66, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 5:59 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs, Mo.

Dale was born on Nov. 30, 1956, to Clyde E. Osborne and Juanita M. (Helm) Osborne. He had lived in Nevada, Mo., Dallas, Texas, and Omaha, Neb., but spent the majority of his life in Joplin.

He drove semi trucks for several years, and also worked as a security guard in Carthage, Mo.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, working on anything with a motor, fishing, and spending time with family. His grandkids were one of his greatest joys.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde E. Osborne; his mother, Juanita M. Jama; and two sisters, Janice Porter, and Clydene Osborne.

Survivors include two sons, Cory Osborne (wife, Trisha) of Galena, and Jason Osborne (wife, Catrina) of Seneca, Mo.; six grandkids, Nate Dickey, Cierra Osborne, Jaylee Faircloth, Carston Osborne, Kennedy Osborne, and Chesney Osborne; two sisters, Linda Rudolf, and April McBride; three brothers, Bill Osborne, Terry Osborne, and Delbert Osborne; and his longtime girlfriend, Paula Cecil.

Mr. Osborne has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
