Sheldon Boys basketball advances to round two in districts

Wednesday, February 22, 2023

The Sheldon Panthers are moving on to round two of the Class 1 District 7 tournament in Golden City, Mo., Monday night, and look forward to their nex competition.

“It was a very good win,” stated Head Coach Lloyd Hall. “The emotions were high of course with the stress of winning or going home. I think this was one of the most complete games we have played all year despite several turnovers in the second quarter.

After a big win against McAuley Catholic and ending their season earlier, the Panthers look to do it again to Thomas Jefferson Inde[pendent, who they have already played this year. “The boy's are ready to play them again. They felt like the last time we faced them wasn't our best effort. We are not ready for our season to end just yet. It's been a long season but we have accomplished every goal we set this year so far. It's also been a fun year. Ultimately our goal is to win tomorrow night to have a chance to play for the championship Friday night.”
