City responds to Friday power outage

According to city officials, power is out throughout Nevada. The Nevada Fire Department is en route to the substation by the water plant to respond to a report of a blown transformer. The Nevada Water Plant, Sewer Plant, City Hall, Police Department and Fire Department are running on generator power.

Update: The substation by the Water Plant is smoking and on fire. Evergy is onsite and fire crews are standing by. The area is secured.
