The Community Council on the Performing Arts (CCPA) is thrilled to present a riotous adaptation of the beloved classic television show, "The Beverly Hillbillies." Written by David Rogers and based on the original program by Paul Henning, this uproarious farce follows the hilarious misadventures of the Clampett family, a group of rural Arkansans who become overnight millionaires thanks to striking oil. The play, directed by the talented Samantha Hartman, promises to be a night of side-splitting laughter as the Clampetts navigate their way through high society in Beverly Hills and all the colorful characters they encounter along the way. The show is proudly sponsored by Renwick Insurance Agency and promises to be a fun-filled night out for the whole family.

This play features a talented cast that brings to life the unforgettable characters from the original program. Leading the charge is Robert Kalthoff, who perfectly embodies the folksy and wise Jed Clampett, while Jane Ann Hancock steals the show as the feisty and sharp-tongued Granny. Gracie Parrish delivers a delightful performance as the beautiful and naive Elly May, while Shawn “Wedge” Johansen brings the laughs as the dim-witted but lovable Jethro. Richard Daut and Ricci Wood shine as the lavish and wealthy neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Drysdale, while Amanda Gilchrist and Michael Serna impress as the conniving duo of Emaline Fetty and Colonel Foxhall. Ginsherri Freeze adds a touch of regal elegance as the stately Mrs. Stokely-Smythe, Aubrey Robinson, Katie Crawford, and Emma Ortmann compete for your heart as Gloria Mundy, Fredericka Collins, and Groovy Monahan. Logan Jonker, Judah Jonker, Lucia Green, and Alex Neilson round out the cast with their impressive versatility in playing multiple roles throughout the show and even putting out fires.

Get ready to be transported to a world of laughter and hijinks with “The Beverly Hillbillies,” a hilarious and family-friendly comedy that will have you in stitches! With a talented and large cast that expertly delivers endless laughs, slapstick comedy, and witty one-liners, this play is a must-see for fans of the classic American sitcom, as well as those who are new to the antics of the Clampett family.

You can see the show at Nevada’s Fox Playhouse from Thursday, May 11, through Saturday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 14, at 2 p.m., for an unforgettable night of entertainment that will have you quoting your favorite lines for days to come.
