Nevada Tigers JV/Freshmen Football defeats Springfield Catholic with stunning 52-0 victory

The Nevada Tigers Junior Varsity/Freshmen Football team showcased an outstanding performance on Monday evening as they faced off against Springfield Catholic, delivering an impressive 52-0 victory.

The first quarter set the tone for the game, with the Tigers displaying remarkable coordination and execution on the field. Bodie Thorpe kickstarted the scoring spree with a 12-yard run, swiftly followed by a 2-point conversion courtesy of Mason Majors. The relentless momentum continued with Jett Snyder's 73-yard run, embellished with a Mason Majors pass to Bodie Thorpe for another 2-point conversion.

The Nevada Tigers' offensive prowess showed no signs of slowing down as Kobe Buck dashed through the field for a 35-yard run, although the subsequent 2-point conversion fell short. Mason Majors contributed to the impressive scoreline with a 57-yard run, followed by Kobe Buck successfully converting a 2-point conversion.

The domination persisted into the second quarter, with Kason Clark electrifying the crowd with a 42-yard run, backed up by Barrett Nadurata's successful 2-point conversion. Will Jackson further extended the Tigers' lead with a 5-yard run, despite the missed 2-point conversion attempt.

After halftime, the Nevada Tigers continued to exhibit their unwavering determination. Will Jackson's explosive 57-yard run was accompanied by John Collins' successful 2-point conversion, cementing the Tigers' dominance on the field.

As the game clock expired, the scoreboard illuminated the result: Nevada Tigers 52, Springfield Catholic 0. The Tigers' exceptional teamwork, impressive rushing plays, and accurate conversions had secured a resounding victory that will undoubtedly be remembered.

"We are really proud of the effort and manner in which our young men played the game," stated JV Coach Jerrod Alexander. "We were able to execute well from start to finish, and our young men played hard and represented our school and community the right way."

With this triumph under their belts, the Nevada Tigers are poised to face Reeds Springs in their upcoming game at home on Monday, Sept. 4., with kick-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
