Patricia Ann (Scott) Arnold, 75, of Nevada, Mo., passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, following a brief illness.

Pat was born March 28, 1948, in Nevada, Mo., to Ray and Margaret (Church) Scott. She married Frank Arnold on Oct. 8, 1994. Pat had two children and gained two more with her marriage to Frank.

Pat graduated from Nevada High School in 1966. She worked at Key Work Clothes for 38 years. After the closing of the Key plant, she went to work at Wilkinson Pharmacy and then to May’s Floral for several years before retiring. She was the head of VIPs for Nevada Police and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Pat was honored as the Citizen of the Year for 2014, co-chaired Bushwhacker Days for 15 years, served as district representative for Family Readiness Group for the Missouri National Guard, and owned and operated Pat’s Designs Unlimited along with Frank. She was awarded the Senior Service Award by Lt. Gov. Mike Parsons. She was an avid square dancer and western dancer.

Pat’s life revolved around her family. She loved having everybody at her house and she especially loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. Pat loved to decorate for the holidays. Her family laughed about her dining table; it was always set with the appropriate season or holiday themed dinner plates and decorations.

Pat is survived by her husband, Frank, of the home; four children, Brian Smith (Atonka), Shelly Baldwin (Kevin), Dustin Arnold (Veronica), all of Nevada, and Starletta Teeters (Jeff), Bronaugh; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her aunt, Sue Rich, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Scott; and her beloved dog, “Minnie Pearl."

Funeral services for Pat will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m., at Ferry Funeral Home, with Brian Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home.
