The Nevada Tigers hosted Grandview High School Friday night for Class 4 District 7 semifinal contest.

Nevada was coming off a 40-36 loss to Seneca and entered the contest with 7 wins and 2 losses. The Tigers were the 8th ranked squad in Missouri Class 4. Grandview, by contrast, was 4-6 entering the game. Grandview, was forced to forfeit four games earlier this season due to a player eligibility infraction, so their record was deceiving. For much of the fall, until the sanctions were handed down by the Missouri State High School Activities Association, the Bulldogs were the top seed in Class 4 District 7. Grandview defeated Center 56-0 in opening round district play.

Nevada came into the contest giving up 17 points a game on defense while averaging 41points on offense. By comparison, Grandview was averaging 35 points a game offensively while giving up just over 16 points per contest on defense.

Nevada won the last match-up between the two schools in 2016, 21-20.
