NRMC board to consider additional administrator to help dig out of financial hole

About 60 people attended a special meeting with the Nevada City Council and Nevada Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees Thursday afternoon. The meeting was organized by District 28 Senator Sandy Crawford and District 125 Representative Dane Diehl to discuss the hospital's future.

During the next few weeks, the Nevada Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees will be meeting to discuss the possibility of adding a chief restructuring office to its administrative staff.

The decision to considing an additional administrator came after a special meeting Thursday with the NRMC trustees, Nevada City Commission and the meeting's organizers, District 28 Senator Sandy Crawford and District 125 Representative Dane Diehl. Crawford attended the meeting by conference call.
