Lady Tigers finish runner up in Frontenac tournament

The Nevada Lady Tigers varsity basketball squad traveled to Frontenac High School for the Four States Basketball Classic Thursday through Saturday of last week. Nevada had an excellent tournament including an opening round defeat of Blue Valley Southwest and a last second buzzer beater victory over the undefeated Fort Scott Lady Tigers in the semifinals. As time expired, senior Clara Swearingen hit a shot in the lane to give Nevada the victory. The Lady Tigers won by a final score of 53-52 to move to 11-6 on the season.
