Daniel (Danny) De Gammon

We honor the life and memory of Daniel (Danny) De Gammon. Danny passed away at the age of 66, peacefully in his sleep on February 13, 2024.

Danny was born October 21, 1957 in Nevada, MO to Leo and Betty (Moberly) Gammon. Born in Nevada, MO but raised in Walker, MO where he graduated in the class of 1976 with a trail of great memories and Life long friends. Go Pirates!!

After high school Danny worked at the Walker Corner Store as a gas station attendant and tire repair man, leaving Walker and moving to Nevada in the early 80’s he spent the next 40 years raising his children and working. Fram Filters (20 years), Vernon County Road and Bridge (20 years), Gammon Construction, Gammon Glass and Gammon Lawn Care Service.

Danny is survived by his son Jacob (Kristina) Gammon, their 3 children, Coby, Hailey, Kinley Gammon. His daughter Leray Caldwell and her daughter McKenzie (Brock) Haller. Also, survived by his father Leo Gammon, 4 siblings Doug (Judy) Gammon, Marsha (David) Leonard, Dennis (Patty) Gammon, Julie Reed, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny was proceeded in death by his mother Betty Gammon, step mother Faye Gammon, son in law Eric “EZ” Caldwell and nephew Dillon Lane Reed “Pickle”.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date via Nevada Daily Mail.
