In 1924, new products on the market included Kleenex, Bandaids, and the famous “breakfast of champions"—Wheaties. Gasoline was 11 cents a gallon, the minimum wage was 33 cents an hour, and it cost two cents to mail a letter. Those were a few of the perspectives shared by Don Noland, Past International Director of Lions Club International (Missouri, U.S.A.), as he reflected on what life was like 100 years ago at the inauguration of the local Nevada Lions Club.
