George William Lolley, Sr.

George William Lolley, Sr, 90, Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Nevada. George was born April 28, 1933 in Nevada to Harley B. and Lela M. (Andrus) Lolley. He married Mary Ann Sprenkle on October 21, 1956 in Nevada and she preceded him in death on December 11, 1997.

     George was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1952. He served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Germany from October 1953 to August 1955. George worked as a custodian all his life. He was employed by the First Christian Church in Nevada, and Nevada R-5 School District until his retirement in 1994.

     Survivors include three sons, Geroge Lolley, Jr. (Annabelle), Nevada, David Lolley (Kelly), Nevada, and Robert Lolley (Trish), Joplin; a daughter, Becky Dysart, Nevada; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary Ann, he was preceded in death by three granddaughters, and his sister Mary Lou Snead.

     Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Moore Cemetery in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Ferry Funeral Home.
