Jarrek Lynn Rankin

Jarrek L. Rankin, 29, passed away due to injuries from a car accident on Saturday, April 20, 2024 north of Nevada, Missouri. He was born August 15, 1994 in Nevada, Missouri, the son of Jared Rankin and Janett (Nachbar) Rankin.

            Jarrek graduated from Nevada High school in 2013. Following graduation, he attended State Technical College of Missouri and obtained his associate degree in diesel mechanics. He has worked in Nevada, Joplin and Osage Beach.

            Jarrek enjoyed working with his hands and believed that through hard work much could be accomplished. He often times could be found outside working on projects, tinkering with trucks or friends’ cars or getting things cleaned up around the house. He also enjoyed driving with the windows down with music blaring if the weather permitted it.

            Surviving him are his children, Kinsley Jane Rankin, Kayden James Rankin and Jayden Dawn Rankin of Nevada, MO. His Parents, Janett L. (Nachbar) Rankin and Jared L. Rankin of Nevada, Mo. As well as his sister, Janessa L. Rankin of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by his grandmother, Janet L. Rankin of Nevada MO, his great uncle, Marion Swickhamer of Foster, MO and his aunt, Clarisse Shum of Fort Myers, Florida.

            A visitation service will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO for those who wish to attend and remember Jarrek.
