Robert Ray Forsythe

Robert Ray Forsythe, 79, of Scott City, Missouri died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born December 6, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert E. Lee and Anna Marie Ward Forsythe. He and Bettie Katherine Gould were married June 1, 1969 at Nevada, Missouri. He was of the General Baptist faith. He retired from UPS after 31 years. He served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie K. Forsythe of Scott City, Missouri; a daughter, Natalie D. (Tony) Mays of Cape Girardeau; a son, David W. (Julie) Forsythe of St. Charles, Missouri; ; one sister, Sharon K. Marchbank of Kansas City, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Kelsey N. Mays, Chloe N. Mays, Emily M. Forsythe, Ethan M. Forsythe. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, June 10, 2024 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 11 at the funeral home in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Frank Winfree officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
