Community Center opens doors to young artists

It was beginning to look at least a little like Christmas at the Nevada Community Center on Wednesday evening, Nov. 20, when local artist and professional art instructor and owner of I Heart Art Studio, Jeanette Hawkins, brought her wares for about 14 children to paint snowmen. As kids were arriving, since the tables were already set with stretched out canvases and brushes, one could find Hawkins already at work doing some fancy, wintery facepainting.
