Sharon “Shay” (McConnell) Harris

Sharon “Shay” (McConnell) Harris, age 79, Nevada, MO, went to her eternal reward on Friday, January 17, 2025 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born April 6, 1945 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Edwin and Vera (Ault) McConnell. She graduated from Woodsfield High School in 1963 and was married to Dick Harris on December 29th of the same year.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings. In addition to her husband of 61 years, she leaves a daughter, Kathy and twin sons, Kevin and Kent; plus, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren all of whom reside in Ohio.

Cremation will take place per her wishes and a memorial service will take place in Ohio at a later date. Ferry Funeral Home is providing loving care.

Dick and the family express their appreciation to Good Shepherd Hospice for the tender care and compassion shown to Sharon and the family.
