Nevada pushes past Lamar in Big 8 Conference tilt

Before a capacity crowd, Nevada played host to Lamar for court-warming on Friday night as they opened Big 8 Conference play. Nevada was coming off a 62-42 victory over Clinton on Tuesday evening while Lamar had come into the contest having won five out of their last six games, including dropping 90 points on Cassville in a 13-point victory on Tuesday night. Nevada has won nine of the last 12 games in this series dating back to 2009, including last year’s contest 62-51.
