A storybook ending to a historic Nevada High School track season

t is the stuff that dreams are made of but difficult to realize-unless you are a member of the Nevada High School track program. In the days and weeks ahead, championship banners will be hung in Wynn Gymnasium, medals will be displayed in prominent places in many athlete’s homes and in the mind of 61 high school athletes, there will exist the lasting satisfaction of being a part of something bigger than themselves.

Strong Family Roots ­ State Championship 4x400 M Relay member senior Aiden Watts is pictured with his grandparents, Robert and Janie Watts, both longtime Nevada R-5 educators. Robert was the longtime Nevada head track and field coach.  His son, Ryan, is now the head coach of the Nevada thinclads.
