Mary Ann Davis

Mary Ann (Fleener) Davis, 78, passed away on June 9, 2025 at Truman Health Care in Lamar, MO. She was born in Virgil City, MO on October 12, 1946, to Kenneth Marvin Fleener and Grace Catherine (Ketterman) Fleener. Mary was the fifth of eight children. On March 19,
1994, she married Burrell Davis, Jr and they had the happiest of years until his passing in 2004.
She spent her entire life growing up on the farm. She first attended country school in Virgil City, then on to El Dorado Springs, and graduated in 1964. After High School she attended beauty school in downtown Springfield, MO. Mary later worked at the International Shoe Factory, Fram, and Nevada Habilitation Center.
Mary’s passion was cooking for her family. If she cooked for you, she loved you. She also did not let anybody get ahead of her for a Saturday morning garage sale. She loved the thrill of the hunt, buying treasures for everyone in the family. Another favorite pastime was fishing, especially when it was a good fishing hole stocked with catfish.
Mary Ann is survived by a daughter, Diane Earll (Eddie),Nevada, MO and a son, Bobby Boyle (Marry), Asbury MO; granddaughters, Nikki Butler (Jonathon) and Sabrina Boyle, and grandson Dylan Boyle (Hannah); stepdaughters, Christina Cluck and Katie Dodson; stepson, Mike Davis; step-grandchildren, Brian, Niklaus, Angie, Anna, Cassandra, and Ashley; and six siblings, Glen Fleener (Lora), Bonnie Holland, Claud Fleener (Beverly), Bob Fleener (Connie), Carl Fleener and Alta Kukovich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Davis, Jr.; her parents, Kenneth & Grace Fleener; one sister, Opal Erickson; and sister-in-law, Juanita Pearson.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Ferry Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Moore Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Truman Health Care (Memory Care Unit) in Lamar, MO or to Gentiva Hospice in Carthage, MO in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
