James Collins

James (Jim) Collins, 87 of Georgetown, Texas, died on July 15, 2025 in Conroe, Texas. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 4, 1938 to James (Jim) and Juno Collins and graduated from Nevada High School, PSU, and UMKC. On August 14, 1965 he married Janis Barnes in Brenham, Texas.

Jim is survived by his wife Janis of the home, two sons: Dr. Jess Collins (Hanae) of Conroe, Texas and Dr. Jake Collins (Jennifer) of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren: Charlie, Hannah, Ava, Wyatt, Zayn, and Souad Collins; a brother Bill Collins, and two sisters Marvalee Collins and Peggy (Bill) Bonine; an aunt and eight cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Alta Collins, grandparents Wesley and Mabel Collins.

Jim worked at Farm & Home Savings, various area banks, and was the owner of North Osage Mini Storage in Nevada.
