Judy (Richards) Martinez

Mrs. Judy (Richards) Martinez, age 71, of Santa Ana, passed away Sunday evening, September 14, 2025. She was born January 25 1954, in San Jose, Ca, daughter of the late May Belle and Kenneth Richards. 

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and May Belle Richards and son Eric Henry. 

Judy is survived and missed by her loving family,  husband John Martinez; two sons John (wife Vivian ) and Adam Martinez; one daughter Tanya Kowalski; two grandchildren Marco and Maddie Martinez and sister Mary LoRee (husband Frank)

Judy was a free spirit and was loved by all who crossed her path. She moved from Nevada, Missouri, where she grew up and attended school with the class of ‘72 to California to pursue her dreams.  That is where she met the love of her life, John and had two sons.  They enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing and family time. 

They had a landscape business, then later a furniture store. 

Saying goodbye isn't easy, but it's part of the journey.  There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.
