City of Joplin files suit against NRMC regarding transportation of homeless patients

Local officials responded Monday to a lawsuit filed by the City of Joplin against Nevada Regional Medical Center regarding the transportation of homeless patients to Joplin.

According to documents filed Dec. 17 in the Circuit Court of Jasper County, Mo., the city of Joplin claims that NRMC transported two individuals – one from Kansas City, Mo. and another from Butler, Mo. - to Joplin. The transports occurred in July and September.
