Netters feted at awards banquet

The Nevada High School girls tennis team, coached by Dennis Pendrak, closed out the 2003 season with its annual awards banquet at Greenfield's Restaurant on Thursday.

Present, along with parents and supporters, were team members seniors Gina Pendrak and Anne Conner, juniors Jessica Ferree and Meredith Hoberock and sophomores Lisa Pendrak, Emily Teepe and Lauren Compton.

Gina Pendrak (center), the Tigers' No. 1 singles player for three years, concluded a stellar career with 98 wins and was the recipient of the Outstanding Player Award. Gina's win total places her in fifth place on the all-time career list.

Lisa Pendrak (left) won the Most Victories Award with 31.

Meredith Hoberock (right) received the Tiger Cub Award, presented to the most improved player.
