James Allen Rickey Jr

James Allen Rickey Jr., 23, the oldest son of James Allen Rickey Sr. and Donna Kay (Bryant) Rickey was born February 25, 1981, in Kansas city, Mo., and passed from this life on Friday, May 14, 2004, west of Rockville, Mo.

Early in his life he, along with his family moved to Harwood. James attended school in Walker, then worked for a time at Missouri Wood Products in Nevada. In 2001, he married Aleda Kay Coverdale at the United Methodist Church in Harwood. He was currently employed at West Missouri Beef in Rockville.

Survivors include his parents, James and Donna Rickey of Harwood; his wife, Aleda Kay Rickey, of Bronaugh; one daughter and one son, Marrisa Kay Rickey and James Allen Rickey III, both of Bronaugh; two brothers, Marvin Ray Rickey and Paul Eugene Rickey both of Harwood; one sister, Crystal Dawn Logston; one nephew; cousins; and other relatives.

Funeral services for James Allen Rickey Jr. were held at 10 a.m. today at the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell-City with the Rev. Pat Myers officiating. Pallbearers were Marvin Rickey, Paul Rickey, Cortney Logston, Charlie, Johnson, Lance Rickey, William Rickey, Doug Rickey, and Jeff Logston. Interment was in the Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, under the direction of the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City.
