Dennis John Larson, 59, Nevada, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Donald Loyd Larson and Virginia Gloria Peterson Larson.
He was raised in Minneapolis. His family moved to Joplin when he was 10 years old. He attended the Joplin High School. He joined the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. In 1986, he moved to Nevada and lived here the remainder of his life. He had owned and operated the State Beauty Supply Company in Nevada.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Larson, of Kansas, Dustin Larson, Alba; one stepson, Eric Yates, Nevada; two stepdaughters, Kristi Caruthers, Lamar, and Keri Harrell, Clinton; one brother, Darrell Larson, Joplin; one uncle, four aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Duane Larson; and one sister, Linda Taylor.
No services are planned. Arrangements are by Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
