Three people were injured Friday afternoon when the 1999 Oldsmobile they were riding in overturned, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to the report, Amy Dighero was driving the car with her mother and sister when it struck a culvert and flipped several times, landing next to the train tracks. "There was a train coming the other way when it happened," said Kim Wilkins, Walker, who was also driving on 54, "I thought she was going to hit it." Michelle Brooks, of Milo, who was traveling behind the Oldsmobile, said, "We were coming west on 54 and the car in front of her was trying to make a left turn, I didn't see a blinker," she said. "She (Dighero) jerked the wheel to miss him and hit these rocks over here." According to witnesses, one passenger was ejected from the car during the accident. Amy and Sue Dighero were taken to Nevada Regional Medical center and are listed with serious injuries. Kerri Dighero was airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Joplin and is listed with serious injuries.
