Dear editor:

How many soldiers

Have went to their graves

Without our prayers

Without a rose

I wonder

Through histories pages

Has it been recorded

How many are buried

Without a stone

Without a friend

I wonder

How many brave soldiers

Have died in vain

Without a purpose

Because we went to war

Without a reason

I wonder

How many people

Have said a prayer

To give thanks

For these mighty hero's

Who followed orders

Until the end

I wonder

How many have died

Through the years

With no one

Who really cared

Standing beside their grave

Or even shed for them a tear
