Patsy Ann Cannon

Patsy Ann Cannon, 63, Nevada, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, following a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 5, 1941, in Lubbock, Texas, to Eldon O'Dell Merrell and Juanita Irwin Merrell. She married John W. Cannon on May 29, 1959, in Plainview, Texas, and he survives of the home.

Patsy grew up in Texas and graduated from Plainview Texas High School in 1959. She came to Milo in 1968. She had worked as a cook at Nevada R-5 schools for 20 years. She retired from U.S. Bank due to poor health after six years as a file clerk.

Survivors in addition to her husband, John, include two daughters, Kathy Greer and her husband, Jeff, Nevada, Karen Miller and her husband, Johnny, Houston, Texas; three grandsons, Tyler Greer, Tanner Greer, and Jerin Miller; one granddaughter, Jamie Miller; two brothers, Michael E. Merrell, Forsyth, Mo., and Johnny Merrell, Springfield. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Taylor Greer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 5-6 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
