Daina Jane (Luther) Ives

Daina Jane (Luther) Ives, age 37, of Nevada passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born July 26, 1967, in Clinton, Mo., to John and Betty Luther. She was married Dec. 6, 1986, in Nevada, to Robert E. Ives and he survives of the home.

Daina grew up and went to school in Schell City and Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1985. Daina was a homemaker most of her adult life. She did operate a daycare out of her home for two years and had worked at U.S. Bank in Nevada the past five years. She was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church and a prior member of the Calvary Baptist Church, both in Nevada..

In addition to her husband Robert, survivors include four daughters, Laci Ives, Shila Ives, Ashli Ives and Tricia Ives, all of the home; her parents, Johnnie and Betty Luther, Nevada; two brothers, Donald Luther and wife, Judy, and Richard Luther and wife, Jadie, both of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada, with Pastors David Landwehr and Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery, Nevada.

Friends may call from now and until 9 a.m. on Saturday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 8 p.m.
