Nellie F. Broughton, 72, Nevada, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born June 11, 1932, in Deerfield, to Robert Chrisenbery and Mina Shaw Chrisenbery. She married Charles Eugene Broughton Jr. on April 3, 1950, in Nevada. He preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 2002.
She grew up in the Deerfield area and graduated from Metz High School in 1950. She worked for Key Industries and Nellie Don in Nevada until her retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Robert E. Broughton, Independence, Mo., Dwight A. Broughton, Alamogordo, N.M., and Kevan D. Broughton, Nevada; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ena Mae Forkner and Edith Pettibon, both of Nevada, and Imogene Nall, Belton, Mo.; and two brothers, R.E. Chrisenbery and Richard Chrisenbery, both of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. Broughton; and one brother, Kenneth Chrisenbery.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
