Bertie Thomas Fowler

Bertie Thomas Fowler, 93, Nevada, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Nevada, to John Taylor Thomas and Anna Harpold Thomas. She was married May 20, 1929, in Butler, to Wendell F. Fowler. He preceded her in death Feb. 9, 2003.

She was raised in Nevada, and graduated from Nevada High School. She and her husband lived in Overland Park, Paola and Olathe, Kan., for many years. She returned to Nevada in 1988 and lived the remainder of her life here. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Chad Fowler, Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Jones and Anna Mae Tough, both of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; one son, Jack Fowler; and two brothers, Grant Thomas and John Thomas.

There are no services planned. Interment will be at Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home Nevada.
