Esther Ruth "Snoocks" Stewart, 62, formerly of Neosho, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Cedar County Hospital, in El Dorado Springs, following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Neosho, Mo., to George Wright Brashers and Blanche Juanita (Eubanks) Brashers. She married Francis Stewart, Nov. 3, 1963, in Granby, Mo. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the area.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Gaynell Williams, and one son, Lester Stewart, both of Schell City; one brother, Walter Brashers, Granby, Mo.; two sisters, Lula Mae Macy, Baldwin Park, Calif. and Martha Knight, Lebanon, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Joe Stewart.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 7, at Clark Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Rick Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow at Kenny Cemetery, Neosho, Mo. Pallbearers will be James Michael Thomason, Michael Wayne Williams, Brian Dale Brashers, Ryan Mitchel Stewart, Michael Casey Stewart and Norman Dean Unruh. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, March 6, from noon to 5 p.m. and Monday, March 7, after 8 a.m.
Contributions may be made to the Esther "Snoocks" Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
