Norma Kathleen Breen

Norma Kathleen Breen, the daughter of Sidney and Hazel (Glimpse) Norris, was born on Sept. 7, 1921, in Nevada, and passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Moore-Few Care Center at 83 years of age. She was a long-time resident of Nevada.

She was united in marriage to George M. Breen on June 10, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kan., and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.

Mrs. Breen was a clerk at the Sale Barn for more than 50 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Norma was devoted to working with crafts in the UMC Women's Circle and was especially involved in the Christmas Bazaar. She was a devoted wife and adored mother and grandmother and was the focal point of her family's communications through her e-mails.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Breen and his wife, Loretta, of Dunkirk, Md., Gerald Breen and his wife, Mary Kay, of Charlottesville, Va., five grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Shannon, David, and Amy Breen; and one great-grandson, Ryan Breen. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 16, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Newton Burial Park. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m., on Saturday until the hour of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the United Methodist Church in care of Evergreen Memorial Chapel, P.O.
