Robert "Bob" Nelson Wheeler, 57, Milo, died suddenly Sunday, July 31, 2005, as the result of an accident at his home.

He was born April 19, 1948, in Nevada, to John F. and Ina May Lewis Wheeler. He married Sharon C. Stanley on June 29, 1974, in Stockton, and she survives of the home.

He grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1966. He was a mechanic all his working life. He had worked at Nevada Ford, and for the past 11 years worked for Night Prowlers in Lamar. He was a long-time custom car enthusiast.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Sharon, of the home, are one son, James Robert Wheeler, of the home; one brother, Richard Roberts, Strafford, Mo.; one sister, Rhonda Pettibon, El Dorado Springs; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Ina May Lewis Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dederick. The family receives friends 7-8 p.m., today, Aug. 2, at the funeral home. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
