City leaf pick-up to begin Nov. 28

The city of Nevada will be picking up leaves starting Monday, Nov. 28. Twigs and bags or limbs will not be accepted. City officials request that residents have the leaves raked into piles, and placed behind the curb -- not in the street -- to await pick-up.

City workers will make another round to pick up the leaves from area residents during the last week of December.

Leaf pickup will begin in the southwest quarter then moving on to the northwest, northeast and southeast, with the southeast corner of the city being the last area where leaves will be picked up.
