A variety of content suits a variety of readers

Dear editor,

A newspaper should be interesting to a variety of people, not all of whom are engrossed with high school sports.

That's not to say that the students involved should not get their recognition when deserved, but from another view point, local happenings seems to be covered very well in the Daily Mail. For older citizens, the "50 years ago" is a chance to remember old friends, be reminded of special events that happened in their own lives, and bring back a smile to brighten the day.

This is a small amount of "feedback" in reply to the lengthy letter written by Jennifer Hope on Nov.25.

Reader of many, many years,

-- Eleanor Olson
