Dewey Harlan Hillier, 66, Walker, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at his home in Walker. He was born Sept. 4, 1939, in Nevada, Mo., to Harvey Hillier and Viola Murphy Hillier.
Dewey grew up in Nevada and graduated from Harwood High School. He worked for Hallmark Card for 20 years. Dewey later moved to Cape Girardeau and operated his own engraving business. He came back to Vernon County seven years ago and has lived here since.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Hillier, Chicago, Ill., and Terry Hillier, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one daughter, Linda Smith, Springfield, Mo.; several grandchildren, and one brother, Darrell Hillier, Nevada. He was preceded in death by one brother, Stan Hillier and two sisters, Martella and Arnalee.
Committal services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at Harwood Cemetery, Harwood, with John Nichols officiating. Friends may call now and until 12:45 p.m., Saturday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
