Maranda "Evalee" Tyson

Maranda "Evalee" Tyson passed away March 15, 2006, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada, Mo., surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 3, 1920, in Taney County, Mo., to John and Phoebe Back. She grew up in the Ozark, Mo., area and on the Demming ranch in Oswego, Kan. She was united in marriage to Logan J. Tyson, May 12, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1979.

She attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. She had lived in Oswego, until she became ill in August 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oswego and was loved by all who knew her, was a true lady and only had good things to say about everyone.

Her survivors are four daughters, Jessie Tyson of Wichita, Kan., Linda and Bob Barnes of Nevada, Mo., Judy and Eugene Hollon and Carolyn and Buddy Tomlinson of Oswego, Kan.; and sister-in-law, Martha Back of Hallowell, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her parents, 12 brothers and sisters and their spouses, and one grea-granddaughter preceded her in death.

Her service will be Saturday, March 18, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist of Oswego with the Rev. John Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Oswego Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m., on Friday with the family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m., at the Murdock Funeral Home in Oswego. Memorials may be made to the Oswego Library or the First Baptist Church of Oswego.
