Pearletta F. Larson

Pearletta F. Larson was born March 2, 1930, in Sheldon, Mo., to John Melvin and Lola Fay Malcom Scholes. She passed away March 25, 2006, at her home in Nevada, Mo.

Her early life was spent in the Sheldon area. On Dec. 3, 1973, she was united in marriage to James F. Larson Sr. Their married life was spent in the Nevada area where they were both employed by Nevada Habilitation Center. Pearletta was an avid quilter, homemaker and grandmother. She also shared her late husband's enthusiasm for the Kansas City Chiefs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children, Clarence M. McNeely, James M. McNeely, Joseph W. McNeely Elvie R. McNeely, Patricia M. Bishop, Georgia K. Bell, Madeline C. Sneed, Ethel F. Brower, Lola J. Slyter, Kela D. Vaughn and James F. Larson Jr.; two brothers, Wesley Raymond Scholes and Herbert Scholes; one sister, Helen Jane Butt; 37 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Pearletta F. Larson were held on Tuesday, March 28, at 10 a.m., in the Sheldon chapel with the Rev. Vernon Howerton and Jess Reynolds officating. Burial was in the Coal Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herbert Schole Jr., Paul Slyter, Elton Bell, Ronnie Dickinson, Clifford Sneed Jr., and David Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Robertson and Sid Bishop.
