Elizabeth Lee Wyant, 72, Nevada, Mo., died on Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Christian Health Care in Nevada. She was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Welch, Okla., to Gains Fueston and Edna Belcher Fueston. She and James William Wyant were married on April 1, 1950, in Bentonville, Ark., and he survives of the home.

Elizabeth was born in Welch. She grew up in Miami, Okla., and later in Kansas City, Mo. She and her husband owned and operated several rest homes in Banning, Calif., for many years until retiring in 1994. Elizabeth also had worked as a nurse's aide for a time at the hospital in Banning. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Banning. She has resided in Nevada since 1998.

Survivors in addition to her husband, James, include five children, James William Wyant Jr., Banning, Jerry Lee Wyant, Grand Terrace, Calif., Don Martin, Bloomington, Calif., Sheila M. Fisher, Nevada, and Edward E. Wyant, Nevada; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosa Cavalier, Denver, Colo., Sylvia and Beatrice Kerns, Miami, Okla.; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Homer and Lloyd; and two sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn Dean.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 31, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with pastor Mike Hutchens officiating. Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family receives friends from 7-8 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
