Alma Francis Mauer

Alma Francis Mauer, 87, Nevada, Mo., formerly of Pittsburg, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1919, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Samuel West Taylor and Vera Celia Hanson Taylor.

Alma loved to crochet crafts and visit with friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Crawford, Topeka, Kan.; three sons, James Burdette and Ross Burdette of Kansas, and John Gasswint of Missouri; her granddaughter, Violet Edwards, Owasso, Okla.; including numerous other grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; three sisters, Parthena Krieger, Arcadia, Kan., Bonnie Jean Steele, Kansas City, Kan., and Neva Taylor, Houston, Texas; one brother, Robert Taylor, Selah, Wash., and guardian, Virginia Habjan, Nevada. She was preceded in death by two children, Sally Cunningham (mother of Violet Edwards) and Albert Crawford.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, April 24, at Girard Cemetery, Girard, Kan, with David Rorabaugh officiating. Arrangements are by Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
