Maguire -- 50 years

Dr. Bernard James Maguire and DeEtta Overman Maguire, of Tulsa, Okla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2006, with a family reunion. The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

The couple were childhood sweethearts. They married June 9, 1956, in Fort Scott, Kan. They have three children, Dr. Mark Maguire and wife Lucie, of Kansas City, Mo.; Melissa Rutherford and husband Steve of Tulsa; and Melinda Nix and husband Richard, of Edmond, Okla. They have seven grandchildren, Douglas Nix and Suzanne Nix, both of Edmond; J.P. Rutherford and Anna Rutherford, both of Tulsa; and Lane Maguire, Brit Maquire, and Maz Maguire, all of Kansas City, Mo.

"Bud" Maguire retired in June 2006 after 41 years as a pediatrician in Tulsa. "Dee" Maguire is a retired teacher. She is a homemaker.
