Larry and Terry Brooks and Dennis and Brenda Goedde of Houston, Texas, announce the engagement of their children, Erica Diane Brooks and Dustin Lynn Goedde.

Brooks is the granddaughter of Orville Brooks and the late Reba Brooks of Emporia, Kan., and Gerry Browning, Fort Scott.

Brooks is employed by Houston North Gymnastics; Goedde by Ashton Garden Catering and Events.

The couple plan to marry Aug. 26, 2006, at the Foundry United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
