Mary Roberta Pritchett, age 64, a resident of Uniontown, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident east of Bronson, Kan. She was born Feb. 18, 1942, at Santa Monica, Calif., the daughter of Robert Kenneth Knapp and Maxine Hepler Knapp. She married Earl Pritchett on Dec. 26, 1965, at Compton, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Pritchett moved from California to Uniontown in 1998. Mary had worked as a beautician in California for more than 20 years. She had also worked as a CNA at the Marmaton Valley Nursing Home in Uniontown and an assistant activity director at the Medicalodge of Fort Scott. Mary was a member of the Uniontown United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also active with the Uniontown Park Beautification Committee.
Survivors include her husband, Earl, of the home in Uniontown; a son, Danny Pritchett, Uniontown, and a daughter, Heather Decker, and husband, John, Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Sharon Ollom, Alta Loma, Calif.; six grandchildren, Mike Deibert, Melissa Pritchett, Samantha Pritchett, Shawn Pritchett, Dakota Decker, and Michael Decker; and two great-grandchildren, Sandy Pritchett and Tyson Deibert. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Pritchett; her parents; and a brother, Robert Knapp.
Pastor Joel Dann will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Uniontown United Methodist Church. Following funeral services, there will be cremation. The family will receive friends frorn 6-8 p.m., Monday at Chency Witt Memorial Chapel.
