Ruthanne Barker -- Michael Arace

Mel and Marilyn Barker, Fort Scott, announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Ruthanne Barker, to Michael Arace, son of Nick and Karen Arace of Lenexa, Kan.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Fort Scott High School and a 2004 graduate of Pittsburg State University. She is currently teaching first grade in Kansas City, Kan.

The groom-to-be attended Wichita Heights High School and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is currently employed by Burns and McDonnell in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple will wed at 3 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2006, at First Assembly of God in Fort Scott. Reception will immediately follow at the Fort Scott Middle School. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
