Nathaniel Willard Brundidge

Nathaniel Willard Brundidge, 97, Nevada, Mo., passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. He was born July 2, 1909, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to George Washington Brundidge and Mabel Lavina Galland Brundidge.

Nathaniel served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1940-'45, during which time he was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He worked in the Kansas City, Mo., area as a carpenter most of his working life. He had lived on and off in Nevada over the past 40 years. Nathaniel was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Brundidge, Quinlan, Texas, Danny Brundidge, Milo, Iowa; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Brundidge, Newport, Ore., Lornia Brundidge, Salem, Ore.; and one sister, Dora McGee, Nevada. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Nevada, with Jack Smalley officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
