The big revival at the Christian Church

It looks now that the meeting at the Christian Church was going to result in one of the greatest revivals ever held in Nevada. Last night a very large audience was present. Dr. Hamlin preached on "Reasons Why I am not an Infidel." Some of these were as follow: "This nation was founded on the religion of Jesus Christ and the Bible had been the most dominant forces in modern civilization."

The characters of the bible were set forth without an effort to cover up or shield anything in them. Because the infidel has botching that's not also the possession of the Christian, and yet he figures to loose all.

Homecoming festivities begin tonight

The Nevada High School homecoming festivities will begin tonight when a parade of the high school football team, the student body, band, Tigerettes and cheer leaders leave the school to march to Logan Field, for a pep rally. Climax of homecoming is the football game between Nevada and Carthage tomorrow night.

Homecoming queen candidates have been selected by the "N" Club members and include three seniors, Janie McGehee, Dorothy Ann Wescoat and Melba Thomas. The girls named Gary Ewan, Larry Siebert and Lee Roy Brurris as their escorts for the pre game ceremonies.
