Tedie Balster, El Dorado Springs, is proud to announce the birth of her son, Zane Allen Leon Balster.

Zane was born at 7:36 p.m., Dec. 19, 2006, at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

Maternal grandparents are Sarah Lovewell, Nevada, Mo. and Pete and Colleen Balster, Carthage, Mo. Maternal great-grandparents are Ron and Sally Baughn, El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Marcene and the late Cecil Balster, Reeds, Mo.
