Betty Lee Kelsey

Betty Lee Kelsey, 80, Lebanon, Mo., passed away Monday evening, Feb. 19, 2007, at St. John's hospital, Joplin. She was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Collins, Mo., to Edgar H. and Ethel Baker Phipps. She married Harold O. Kelsey on Sept. 15, 1950.

Besides being devoted homemaker and mother, she also worked as a clerk at a Safeway store for several years. She was a member of the Union Mission Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her husband Harold of the home; son, Larry Kelsey and wife Debra, Columbus, Neb.; two grandchildren; brother, Curtis Phipps, Mistletoe, Texas; sister, Doris Dean and her husband Jim, Nevada, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, with the Rev. Don Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, at the funeral home.
